Test/quiz schedule this week in my class: Spelling (Thursday)
* Wednesday, October 9th is individual picture day. Students must come to school in their full school uniform. Please send in an order form if you would like to purchase pictures. All students will have their picture taken.
* I will send out graded work once or twice a week and if there is a "please sign" stamp on it please return it back to me signed. Thank you!
*Band lessons begin on Thursday, October 10th for those who have registered.
*Thursday, October 10th is a N.U.T. day. If your child will be participating, please send in $1.00.
*Friday, October 11th there is NO SCHOOL as it is a professional day for teachers. There is also NO SCHOOL on Monday, Ocotber 14th in observance of Columbus Day. Enjoy the long weekend!
* If you would like your child to receive a free breakfast, please make sure they are in the school by 7:40am as I will take breakfast count by 7:45.* Hours for second graders are 7:40am-2:00pm. Please make every effort to be on time picking up your child. If you are late, your child will be sent to EDP (extended day program) where a fee will be charged.
* Please send your child in everyday with water bottles, snack, and on full days a lunch if he/she isn't ordering school lunch.
* Second graders will have gym on Tuesday and Thursday this year. Please have your child wear his/her gym uniform and sneakers on those days.
* You can check the homework tab on my Teacher Page for daily assignments. We will have daily spelling and math homework.
* If your child isn't feeling well, please keep them home. Send me an email as soon as possible. They will be able to make-up all classwork and tests that are missed when they return. Thank you for your cooperation.
* Birthday celebrations: You are welcome to send in a small treat for your child's birthday for the class to enjoy during snack time. Please make sure they are nut free! Thank you!
