GENERAL INFORMATION
WELCOME TO MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH!
Homework Policy: Students are assigned homework on a daily basis. Most of the time it is written work. Other times, it is to study and prepare for a test. Homework is posted on a weekly basis online. (See homework page).
Grading Policy: Tests are administered throughout each chapter. The number of tests given depends on the number of lessons in each chapter. At the end of each chapter, there is a cumulative test on all the lessons. Students are told 4-7 days in advance the date when a test is scheduled. Test dates are posted online as well.(See the homework page for upcoming tests). Tests: 90% Homework: 10%
Behavior/Participation: All students are expected to be prepared for class with the appropriate materials such as pencils, notebooks and math workbooks. Students are also allowed to use whiteboards and dry erase markers during class. Participation and attention during class are important parts of succeeding in math. If a student is absent, he/she must make up the work missed. It is the student's responsibility to come to me for the assignment(s) missed.
