Greeting Students and Cheverus Families,

My name is Miss Monteforte, but you can call me Miss M. for short.

 I am very excited to be your First-Grade Teacher this year! Teaching is my passion! I started my teaching career in 2008. I have a bachelor’s degree in education and a minor in psychology from Bay Path University. I have a beautiful 20-year-old daughter currently attending college for an engineering degree. We live close by and have a beloved dog named Peppa.  

I am planning an exciting school year of learning and development. Most importantly, I want to instill student "ownership" and "responsibility" for their learning. At this age, they are ready to become individual leaders, and I can't wait to help them develop these skills and healthy school habits! 

Good news, this year we have a new teacher assistant, Miss Bridgette. Miss Bridgette is not new to our school, just new to the first grade, so most of you may already know her. Miss Bridgette will be supporting our classroom to achieve academic and developmental goals on a daily basis.
