Cheverus Catholic is enjoying a fresh approach to art, with Mr. Lane, the assistant principal, taking on Art teaching duties as of September 2015. The Art program is thriving, thanks, in part, to a grant we received from the Gordon and Marjorie Osbourne Foundation. The students are enjoying using the new art supplies the grant has allowed us to purchase. From painting to drawing to sculpture, the students are able to express themselves in a variety of exciting mediums.
Also, all middle school students have received a sketch pad, so they can apply their creativity to paper away from art class. We look forward to taking most classes on art related field trips starting with the middle school visiting the deCordova Museum in Lincoln, Ma. A great local museum that includes an outdoor sculpture park.
